Vertice Projects was proud to deliver the full interior fit-out for Central Cafe, a vibrant and nostalgic new venue located beneath the iconic ironwork of Glasgow Central Station.
The brief: create a bold, retro-inspired space that celebrates its setting while delivering modern comfort and flair.

Bespoke Bar Build
A curved, tiled front counter with stainless steel finishes, creating a visual anchor for the space while showcasing Central Cafe’s artisan pastries and coffee service. -
Custom Seating & Upholstery
Padded stools, high tables, and a sweeping timber bench were all crafted to blend playful pattern with clean lines and comfort. -
Retro Aesthetic
Bold colours, statement lighting, and a graphic interior scheme throw back to mid-century café culture with a fresh, modern twist. -
Structural Integration
Exposed steel girders from the station above were incorporated as a design feature, enhanced with LED lighting to give the space architectural drama and identity.
This project is a great example of Vertice Projects’ ability to balance function with character, respecting the bones of a building while bringing a whole new concept to life.
